Tuition: $300
if paid by May 1st and $350 after that. Scholarships are often available from local Lions, Kiwanis, Ruritan, Woman's, Rotary, Civitan, Student Council, Service-Learning, GEAR-UP, 21st Century, Youth Action Council and others. Teens are responsible to seek this support.

Discover your potential... I believe I am a better person and leader because of this camp! Active learning with everyone's participation puts civic leadership and service in a context of everyday living as teens create and live community for six days that become for many the best week of my life! Seminars, recreation, nature walks and other activities make one search inside to let leadership come through. I can honestly say I've never had so much fun learning!

Led by the Wellsburg Lions Club, local service clubs created Leadership Camp in 1947 to strengthen communities by preparing their most valuable asset - their youth - for success and civic involvement.

National HI-Y Leadership Camps

Ages: High School, Middle-Jr. High Students
Tuition: $300
if paid by May 1st and $350 after that. Scholarships are often available from local service organizations, professional organizations, HI-Ys, businesses and others. Teens are responsible to seek this support.

Welcome new experiences - chart your future - bring new enthusiasm and in the process discover all you can be and all you can offer. Strengthen skills, focus on achievement, learn how to get things done with others, reach out to meet new people and then take all you learn back home to improve your HI-Y, school and community.

Learn the basics of successful HI-Ys...the same skills for success in life and community - how do we get people to join and then do what needs done, what it costs and how do we raise the money, use new programs and service to put new life in our HI-Y, being an officer is more than a title, meetings are to get things done, committees move an organization forward, and let's tell HI-Y's story so we're known in our school and community!

Youth in Government, Model United Nations and local HI-Y Officers prepare to lead these programs. Everyone becomes a certified HI-Y, YG and UN Trainer.

Return home to be all you can be and make your HI-Y or TRI-HI-Y the best it can be!

Adventure Camp

Tuition: $300:
if paid by May 1st and $350 after that.

Horseshoe's Adventure Camp for 7 - 12 year olds is fun and much more! It's a good time with a purpose! Horseshoe is often a child's first major step toward becoming an individual and developing social skills with their own peer group. There is no better way for children to learn about themselves and others, expand their horizons, learn to share and get along with others, develop a positive self-image, and have fun! We believe in camping, and hope each child will have the chance to experience this vital part of growing up.
