High and Low Ropes Challenge Course

The Incredible Journey High Ropes Course explores individual and group leadership in a series of outdoor initiatives and discussions. The journey leads to a deeper discovery of self, others, and the strength of working together. This supportive and playful group experience enables you and your group to discover how teamwork, trust, communication, problem solving and decision making can be enhanced.

Courses

Groups use the Incredible Journey's "Low" and "High" Challenge Courses to reach their goals. Groups begin with the Low Course, a series of "ground level" initiatives. High Course initiatives are group and personal challenges conducted on poles, wires, cables, and platforms 20 to 45 feet above the ground.

Course elements provide physical, mental, and emotional challenges in a supportive environment. The level of challenge is always the participant's choice.

Program

We'll tailor a program just for your group. You may reserve the course for a day or even a week. Lodging and delicious home cooked meals at Camp Horseshoe are available at reasonable rates.

Your group's activities are designed based on your goals. Often groups want to learn how to work together, solve problems, improve confidence and communication, sharpen decision making skills, or overcome fear.

Objectives

  • To increase self-confidence.
  • To instill an awareness of self and others.
  • To promote team building.
  • To develop ways of creatively solving problems.
  • To provide an avenue for personal commitment and support to aid in pursuing and achieving goals.
  • To provide a positive growth experience for all participants.
  • To change attitudes from "I can't" and "no way" to "can do" and "let's give it our best shot".

Leadership

Incredible Journey staff are certified instructors in the use and supervision of Challenge Courses. Instructors combine their technical knowledge of climbing equipment, safety, and knots with group communication, interaction, and processing skills.

Safety

All learning involves risk. A challenge course asks persons to test their boundaries in order to grow. At the same time, physical and emotional safety of each person remains the primary concern. In fact, basic risk management and personal decision making are skills enhanced in all challenge experiences.

Fees are determined based on the program you want. For more information or to arrange a presentation for your group, please call, write, or us for details.
