O ur HI-Y advisors play a very important role in the lives of young people. Here is a summary of just one of our excellent HI-Y advisors Angie Dominco-Cox is a counselor at Wirt County Middle School in West Virginia. She has been involved with HI-Y for many years. Her involvement began as a young student attending Camp Horseshoe and becoming involved with her local HI-Y. She then became a counselor at Camp Horseshoe during her college years and later started the Wirt County HI-Y in 1981. At the 2007 West Virginia Fall Conference, David King credited Angie for being the striving force behind Wirt County’s HI-Y success and ability to be an Honor HI-Y 25 years consecutively. One will always see her helping her students in any way possible. Recently it was selling the backpacks to raise money for YOC. Mrs. Dominco-Cox is always willing to help those who need help. We thank her for all her support and help over the years. She suggests HI-Ys and their advisors create a system where the kids are training the other kids in the HI-Y. One of her greatest joys is to see the kids grow and then see them when they come back as adults. | |||||
